Applications are open for first-year undergraduate courses for the 2026-27 academic year in Government Arts and Science Colleges across Tamil Nadu. Interested candidates can apply online at www.tngasa.in from May 7, 2026. For students unable to apply online, Admission Facilitation Centers (AFC) are available in all government arts and science colleges. For the 2026-27 academic year, there are a total of 126,959 admission seats across 159 courses in 181 Government Arts and Science Colleges in Tamil Nadu (Shift I: 101,022, Shift II: 25,937). The application fee is Rs. 48/- per student, with an additional Rs. 2/- registration fee. However, Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories are exempt from the application fee, only requiring the Rs. 2/- registration fee. Payments can be made online via Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. The final date for application submission is May 29, 2026.
