Tamil Nadu Government Orders Release of Water from Thirumurthi Dam for Drinking Needs

The Tamil Nadu Government, following the Chief Minister's order, has sanctioned the release of up to 20 million cubic feet of water from Thirumurthi Dam between July 9 and July 11, 2026, to Poosarinaickan tank in Alampalayam village, Tiruppur District, for public and livestock drinking water requirements.
