In his speech at the cabinet swearing-in ceremony, Hon. Chief Minister Mr. S. Joseph Vijay stated that he is an ordinary person and thanked the people for their support. He shared his personal experiences with poverty and hunger. He pledged to release a transparent white paper on the state's financial situation, specifically mentioning a debt of approximately 10 lakh crore rupees. He committed to focusing on fundamental needs such as women's safety, drug control, law and order, education, ration, medical facilities, drinking water, road and bus facilities. He emphasized that no public money would be misused and that there would be a single, transparent leadership center. He assured equality and protection for all sections of society, including minorities, farmers, youth, government employees, and fishermen. He extended gratitude to the leaders of Congress, CPI(M), CPI, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), and Indian Union Muslim League, as well as party cadres and supporters.
