Water Release for Kodayar Irrigation Project in Kanyakumari and Tirunelveli Districts
The Tamil Nadu Government has ordered the release of water for 138 days from June 16, 2026, from Pechiparai, Perunchani, Chittar I, and Chittar II dams for the Kodayar irrigation project to benefit 17,000 acres in Kanyakumari and Tirunelveli districts.
