On June 12, 2026, on the occasion of World Day Against Child Labour, awareness meetings were held across all districts, including Chennai. A state-level awareness meeting was held in Chennai, presided over by Hon'ble Minister Thiru. J. Mohammed Parvez, where he affirmed the commitment to create a child labour-free Tamil Nadu.
