In accordance with the order of the Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru. S. Joseph Vijay, the Honourable Minister for Transport, Thiru. A. Vijay Tamizhan Parthiban, today (08.06.2026) conducted a review meeting with senior officials of the Transport Department regarding the operations of Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporations.
The Hon'ble Transport Minister reviewed the operations of Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporations with senior officials, as per the directive of the Hon'ble Chief Minister.
Consultative Meeting on Operations of Tamil Nadu Government Transport Corporations
Transport Minister Thiru. A. Vijay Tamizhan Parthiban held a consultative meeting at the Secretariat, following the Chief Minister's directives, to review the operations of Tamil Nadu Government Transport Corporations. Discussions covered improving public transport services, increasing revenue, and modernizing buses.
Honorable Minister for Transport, Thiru. A. Vijay Tamizhan Parthiban, took action on complaints regarding the State Express Transport Corporation and Villupuram Municipal Transport Corporation.
Transport Minister Thiru. A. Vijay Tamizhan Parthiban addressed two public grievances concerning a missing bag on an SETC bus and a VTC bus failing to stop, and conducted an inspection at the Villupuram workshop.
Hon'ble Transport Minister Thiru. A. Vijay Tamilan Parthiban's inspection of Saidapet - Guindy Race Course bus route and Velachery workshop.
Hon'ble Transport Minister Thiru. A. Vijay Tamilan Parthiban travelled in a government bus from Saidapet to Guindy Race Course, interacted with the public, drivers, and conductors. He also inspected the Velachery Government Central Automatic Workshop.
Consultative Meeting Held Under Transport Minister's Chairmanship Regarding AIS-140 VLTD Fitting Scheme in Passenger and Public Service Vehicles
A consultative meeting was held on 22.05.2026 under the chairmanship of Hon'ble Minister for Transport Thiru. A. Vijay Tamilan Parthiban at the Secretariat to discuss concerns raised by lorry owners and school vehicle owners regarding the price of AIS-140 VLTD devices, which are being fitted in passenger and Public Service Vehicles across Tamil Nadu.
