Hon'ble Minister for Prohibition and Excise Thiru. K. Vignesh conducted a review regarding the closure of 717 TASMAC liquor shops, which were ordered to be closed by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. So far, 436 shops have been closed.

Chief Minister Thiru S. Joseph Vijay Orders Closure of 717 Liquor Shops Near Places of Worship, Educational Institutions, and Bus Stands
For public welfare, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister S. Joseph Vijay has ordered the closure of 717 liquor retail shops located within 500 meters of places of worship, educational institutions, and bus stands, with the closure to be completed within two weeks.
