Following complaints of overcharging for Vehicle Location Tracking Devices (VLTD) in public transport and other applicable vehicles in Tamil Nadu, a meeting was held under the Transport Minister to fix a uniform and fair price.

Tamil Nadu's Transport Minister announced a temporary two-week special facility via the "Tamil Nadu Suraksha Mitra Portal" for National Permit cargo vehicles operating in other states to get Vehicle Location Tracking Device (VLTD) approval, considering difficulties faced by lorry owners.
