Chief Minister Thiru. S. Joseph Vijay Inspects Chetpet Bio-CNG Plant and Issues Directives for Scientific Waste Management in Greater Chennai Corporation

Chief Minister Thiru. S. Joseph Vijay visited the Bio-CNG plant in Chetpet, Chennai, operating under Public-Private Partnership. He instructed the Greater Chennai Corporation to segregate 6,150 MT of daily waste into wet and dry, convert wet waste into biogas and manure, and utilize plastic/dry waste for road construction and cement factories. He also directed the implementation of scientific waste management with a deadline across all urban local bodies in Tamil Nadu.
