Heavy Motor Vehicle Driver Training for Economic Upliftment of Tribal Youth: 100% Employment in Scheme Jointly Conducted by Tamil Nadu Tribal Welfare Department and IRT Gummidipoondi!

To enhance the employability and improve the livelihoods of tribal youth, the Tamil Nadu Tribal Welfare Department and the Government Road Transport Corporation (IRT) in Gummidipoondi jointly launched the 'Tholkudi Thoduvanam' scheme. In its first phase, 16 tribal youths received Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) driver training and were successfully provided with driving licenses and Public Service Vehicle (PSV) Badges.

Higher Pass Rate in 10th Standard Public Examinations in Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Schools for the Academic Year 2025-26 - Press Release

For the academic year 2025-26, the pass rate for students in Adi Dravidar Welfare schools for 10th standard public examinations is 91.42%, an increase from the previous year, and for Tribal Welfare schools, it is 96.66%, which is 3% higher than the previous year and also higher than the state's overall pass rate of 94.31%.
