Under the orders of the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, for the first time in history, 300 engineers received promotion orders simultaneously, given with transparency (Transparency) under the guidance of the Hon'ble Minister for Energy and Law, Thiru. C.T.R. Nirmal Kumar, making electricity board engineers happy.
The Tamil Nadu Government, under the direction of Hon'ble Chief Minister Thiru. C. Joseph Vijay and with the guidance of Hon'ble Minister for Energy and Law Thiru. C.T.R. Nirmal Kumar, has issued promotion orders to 300 Assistant Engineers (Electrical) who joined between 2000 and 2002, elevating them to Executive Engineer posts. This historic and transparent move, a first of its kind for such a large number, resolved long-standing issues and delighted electricity board engineers.

During a review meeting at the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board headquarters, irregularities were found in the allocation and approval processes of the Green Energy Corporation, specifically regarding a lack of transparency. Consequently, Mr. V. Kasi and Mr. P. Chandrasekaran have been suspended. Additionally, the pension benefits of retired director Mr. S. Mangalanathan have been withheld.
