As per the order of Hon'ble Chief Minister Thiru S. Joseph Vijay, Hon'ble Minister for Rural Development and Water Resources Thiru N. Anand inaugurated and inspected the desilting work of Adyar River in Manapakkam, Alandur, Chennai district, and the South Buckingham Canal near the East Coast Road and Old Mahabalipuram Road junction in Sholinganallur, Chennai district.
